Thursday was happy deepavali and baking with my very sexy cell leader. :D
To add on the happiness meter, I could finally sleep in since truncated lessons mean waking up at the horrible-vegetable (should be horrible-seafood in my case) 7am. Haha, but knowing its yours truly we're talking about, it should be 7.15 am. (:
Okay, on task!

So it was planned to bake Peanut Butter Cake! I arrived there to find the expert all geared up with her baking utensils all prepared and ingredients measured. Oh, and she was not only the baker for that day but a chef as well. Not bad right? A pro baker, chef, can cook, can clean, can play keyboard and drums, can take care of kids and the list goes on. Who wants? *hints!* Oh, I forgot to add she's SUPER sexy! :D HAHA! no, she's mine. *snigger*
So while waiting for the cake to bake, she prepared dinner- Crepes!, which was extremely mouth watering. Honestly, I would not go to such through so much trouble just to prepare dinner for 6. :S (On second thought, maybe I would do it for my future bf only if he knows to appreciate it. :D) So we cooked till lets say 4 plus and served the oh so delicious peanut butter cake with chocolate icing and nuts!

I bet you're
so envious now!
Friday after school, headed for Tabi's for another round of baking, the
not so expert version though. We had super ambitious plans to bake muffins for the whole youth, and to add on with my uber ambitious-ness, do colorful icing decorations on it which we failed. Sorry lah, was inspired by the muffins in Heroes but of course, those muffins maybe artificial.
Shopping for the ingredients was an adventure.
My apologies to those we called last minute to find out how to do icing because we could not find the meringue powder stated in the recipe i got off the net. Apparently, Singapore cheap skate markets dont carry that product. Luckily I have two baking pros as cell leaders which came to the rescue! (: Very sorry to Xw, whom had a sore eye and asked him to look up the ingredients of icing. Sorry!
On to the baking!

Our first batch of apple muffins (yes, there is apple in it) was labeled as
albinos. It was super super white for some reason and looked like Tim Lim. (okay, thats a joke!) BUT!, they tasted okay leh. So, as quoted by Tabi, they were the "
British".

Our second batch was the best. Much more brown, so they were the "
Chinese".

Our third batch was super super fat and slightly white. So we called them the "
Americans".
Our fourth batch was the chocolate chip ones made specially for the leaders and teachers. Apparently, the feedbacks was that there were too many chocolate chips in it. Ah, but its still nice right? Who can complain about chocolate?

Our last batch was pretty much a failure because we did it in a rush but the apples were much more. But well, it was for ourselves.
Making the icing was harder. Writing the letters was the hardest i guess, with all the icing going drippy and gooey.

And after 6 hours, the fruit of our labour...
TADAHHH!

And it disappeared in 6 seconds.
So now i aspire to be a pro muffin maker!
